Confessions of an obsessed woman
So yeah, If you've talked to me lately, I've probably told you that I want to get guppies. Why, you may all ask with your nose crinkled up? For a genetics experiment. Who's a geek that doesn't want to leave school at school? I am I am! My goal is not world fish domination, I just want to make a pretty fish. With my smarts and genetics brilliance, I can do it. I know I can. I found my bothers' old tank with filter, light and cover, got a new light bulb ($2) and sponge and carbon for the filter ($4) and presto! Now I'm all set up. Took me about 3 hours to clean it and get it set, but I did it. All alone and only cutting myself once. Mom would be proud if she wasn't going to kill me for the intent of getting another pet. But really, they won't be pets, they will be a scientific experiment with my doing exploritory work in the field of guppy genetics, to further my involvement in my Biological studies and give me good experience on a longer than a week experiment. That sounds good doesn't it? She'll have to believe me. Besides, Liz in the Biology department got so excited when I went looking for advice up there that I just can't let her down. Really, you should have seen her.
So the parents are on the way back now, will probably be home by tomorrow afternoon. I have to do some heavy duty cleaning and shovelling. what fun I'll have! At least school was cancelled this morning so I could sleep in.
