So my nan ate a candy today to bring her low blood sugar up, choked on it, turned blue, and nearly died. One of the men that works there did the hymleich on her 3 times to get the candy out, then they sent her to the hospital to get checked out. If she hadn't had the door open, no one would have heard her. If you ever feel bad or guilty about considering moving a family member into community care, don't. My grandmother would have been long gone by now, probably a couple of years ago. People that look after them think of them as their extended families, and they care about them just as much, and they are people like Alison and Shannon. You couldn't ask for better people.
