I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Nice Day out.
I think tomorrow I'm going to go to the beach. Anyone want to come, let me know. It's supposed to be even warmer than today was. I'm pumped.

In other news, the cat has learned a new trick. She turns off my alarm clock when it goes on. Seriously, I witnessed her do it twice this morning, and she seemed mighty pleased with herself. It goes off, she gets up, walks over to it and stands on it, turns around and sits down and keeps moving until she hits the button that turns it off. Then she gets off and goes back to lie down. And here I thought Mo was crazy for claiming the cat said her name. I take it back, that cat's smarter than I thought.

StarWars
First impression: pretty damn good and worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed Anakins turn to the dark side. There were a few things I thought were a little off, like none of the deaths seemed to have as huge as impact as they were probably meant to. I couldn't help it, I kinda laughed as Darth Vadars bellowed NOOOOOOOOO!! near the end. I don't think Nathan appreciated that, but I just had to let it out. I will think more of it, but I'll probably end up going back to see it again later.

Seriously, wtf?
Here's a hint, if you stand someone up twice at times that you arranged with no reason or apology, call four times in 5 minutes, ask one question each time, then say I'll call you right back and hang up, the person you're talking to is probably going to think poorly of you and not want you to live with them. You're psycho, and I wouldn't give you keys to my house if you had me at knife point.
Aside from this, the hunt, well, continues. Plenty of people I know and like want to move in for September, but unfortunately, this is May, and the kitty is getting pretty lonely. I'll survive I'm sure. At least I've actually got a job, which I realized the other day that I never have at this time of the year. I've never had this much free time, what with only having 3 shifts a week. I'm only going slightly nutty, but I've never had cleaner laundry, nor have I read so much and watched so many movies. It's also led me to many late night biking excursions, circa working down at the marina and biking home late at night. (I don't think circa's the right word there, but I'll let it stick)
I'm still looking for a job better suited for me, but I've got something to do in the meantime, so while I'm not ecstatic with where I am, it could be sooo much worse. The msn crew is pretty cool, and I don't know how I lucked out getting in with them, because I wouldn't have stayed through training at any of the other spots. Even the general orientation made my skin crawl, you guys that work at call centers and deal with people on the phone, my hat's off to you, I certainly couldn't do it.
In far less depressing news, it's spring!!! That means summer fun is almost here. The tree outside my window is getting leafy already, even if they're curled and wrinkly. I propose many excursions, the least of which would be a camping trip to St. Peters Island. I've done it twice before, but this time I actually have permission of someone who owns land there, so I want to go exploring. I've checked old records and maps; there was a church, a school, a few farm houses and a cemetery there. Looking for old relics and stuff would be a different experience, a bit more than roasting weenies and peeing in the woods. It's a plan, there's 5 or 6 of us going now, let me know if you want to come. It'll be when it warms up a bit, and when it doesn't conflict with the other canoe trip. Aside from that, fishing seems to be a good way to spend an afternoon, if it would just stop raining. May showers bring June mosquitoes, just remember that!

Looking in all the wrong places.
So work is fun, but I'm not getting much of it. In fact, I have an entire week until I work again. Not really that cool, bills need to be paid. On the bright side, I may have three jobs again further along in the summer. Yeah, I'm completely off my rocker. Why can't it just be spread evenly?
Life would be easier.
So needless to say, I'm going to be rather bored this week. I'm up for doing anything, preferably anything that doesn't cost to much money. So any of you saying no one will do anything outdoors with you, you know my phone number. You have a compatriot. Field trips to little traveled Island spots are encouraged.

Some things are still amusing, even after you forget about them for months.

Cleaning up reveals all kinds of things you never would have thought you'd find in the oddest of places. Even found the kitties' blue collar.
New job: Surprisingly fun. It might just be the new job bug though, we'll see how long it lasts. I laugh at work far more than is appropriate, I'm sure the covad guys are getting tired of me. I will keep you all posted. Swear
