Night of the living dead. . .
This is going to be fun. Tonight I work my first 12 hour shift at resolve. So not only am I here for a night of hell (Saturdays backshift are always killer), it's even longer than normal. I'm still not entirely sure of why I'm here, as it was someone who called in sick earlier in the day, but I know that someone else also had to work 12 hours, so it's only fair that I should too. Maybe I should call in sick for the days that I asked off for the mag trip that I didn't get. Hmmm. . . nah, I doubt I could pull it off. I just don't call in sick. I'd feel too guilty. I'm jealous of all the toga people, it was so nice out today. Made it next to imposible to sleep, which is the start of how long a night I'm going to have. Because I feel that my greatest challange will be staying awake, I feel the need to keep a running post about the night. We'll see how long this lasts.
9:15 ~ Have consumed one large café mocha, and a handful of grapes. It's pretty quiet in here, but that may be because everyone is frozen solid since it's minus a million in here.
11:30 ~ Have now finished all grapes. Got really busy for a while, so I swore at the computer monitor. Not loudly, but a lot. Nobody noticed. Not surprised. Took a break, and will aim to do so evey two hours to maintain sanity. Also cracked the new cosmo. M&M's are starting to look tempting.
3:30 ~ Dealt with evil loser for a looong time. Totally wreaks the night. Probably will have to deal with more later. I get paid for this. You don't. You're a loser. Gahh. Deep breath. Getting through more cosmo, broke down into the M&M's, corners of vision getting squigly. Not a good sign people.
6:00 ~ Have now dealt with evil loser for more than 8 hours. Didn't think it'd be possible. And still, two hours left, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up. Twitch has returned. And just think, I get to come back at midnight tonight and do it all over again. Kinda feeling like life sucks at this point in time. Now it's getting light out. Thats nice. Just reminds me that I have to come back tonight.
