I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Saturday night and I like the way you move....
Yeppers, work for me on my fabulous Saturday evening. So here I sit, slightly cranky for being at work, slightly grateful that I'm not able to go out and spend money. Oh yeah. I've reached the age of being glad that I don't go out for the thought of all the money I'm going to save. But it doesn't stop me from being absolutely starving. I'm going to make an effort this week to not eat out once. I mean at all. Not even stop for coffee. No drive-throughs. Nothing at all till next Saturday. I'm going to have to *dunDunDUN* cook for myself. Prepare all 5 of my take to work lunches, not just the usual 4 with take out Friday, no coffee to help make it through till midnight, no tims bagels to get me through class. I wonder how much money this will keep in my pocket. Hmmmm....
Also: the funniest blond joke on the go, and I've heard a few. Props to jon for finding it.

Went to the movies last night
Good movie. We went to see Tristan and Isolde (my pick not Nathans, yes I dragged him to a chick flick). It was a pretty good movie. Of course it was predictable, but then again, it was a romance, not a suspense thriller. I think the story was more legend and fable than real occurrence, but it was well done, and the scenery was fantastic. It really felt like they were in the woods of tribal England, and then on the rocky moors of Ireland. I really disliked the lead actor before I saw the movie, but he did very well playing his character, and in the end I found him quite tolerable. None of the actors or actresses were perfect or fantastically beautiful, and their little imperfections were left in, which made it more real, less fabricated. When they were pushing boats of shore and a wave hit, you knew that it was really cold from the way the girl almost screamed and missed her line. Well, I laughed anyway. I would give the movie 7 stars.

And the world turns...
Happy yesterbirthday to goat, hope it was a good one! I need to post more pictures online. I think I will work on that. I spent the day home before I went to work, something I rarely do, since I always seem to have something that I need to go out and get done. I cleaned, read, tidied, did dishes, showered and took my time, made and ate breakfast. And I looked through a box of old pictures. A bunch of them were from high school graduation. I remember how warm and sunny and beginning of summer it was then, I had I left RedCross staff training to go. It was fun, and the whole summer was there before I had to go to big scary university. I think I look the same as I did then, most of us still do. I don't miss high school, it was fun, but it's over. I do miss all my high school friends, the ones who I don't see, or who choose to believe I no longer exist, but one doesn't dwell on those things. I think the main thing I miss about all that is the break up of the year. I was always in school or working, but at least there was a difference to distinguish the time of year, and weekends and holidays were treated like that's what they were, end of term, end of frantic work, beginning of term.
Hopefully I'll find some seasonal biology work this summer that will break up the year for me. Well, at least to break up the monotony of a call center. I may end up working a million jobs again, I'm going to try to avoid that. Or at least make sure I've got time off to do the important things, like Sarahs wedding, the Canoe trip, and visiting Moira, Chris and their (coming) new baby. Really people, priorities.

I'm so confused . . . . . I'm a worrier, so when things go south, I worry. Then some occurrence happens and totally makes no sense, like someone reappearing with money, and then declare their decision to . . . stay for a while longer? ahhhh, ok. I should just wander around in a daze, things seem to be better that way.

Holy 8:00 workday Batman!
I didn't think I'd be able to do it, after weeks of working evenings or backshifts, I made it to work for 8. On time. With coffee and breakfast. And packed lunch. I'm amazing. And all so I can go out for dinner with friends this evening. C'mon people. If you're anyone, you should be there, all the cool kids will be. Unless you have to work, then you should be tortured that you couldn't come and we're dining without you. Now I don't know what to do with my self, it's so unbusy compaired to my evening shifts.
P.s. Marine biology update: I had forgotten how annoying it was to have a prof cancel a class on less than 2 hours notice. Especially on the first day, when everyone was so keen to be there. Little 4 by6 inch signs placed on the outside of proped open doors tend to escape the notice of the masses Mr. prof, note for future reference.
