"Hi, I was wondering if you could do *** for me, would that be an inconvenience or problem for you?"
"Ok, yes, I'll do that for you."
"Thanks!....Is something wrong?"
"No no, nothings wrong."
"What's the matter, you look like something's the matter?"
"No, it's fine nothings the matter."
"Ok, so I'll go ahead and do that, thanks for taking care of it."
10 minutes later, when *** needs to be done
"Ok, here you go, thanks so much!...What's the matter?"
"Nothing, goodbye."
"No, stop, really, what's the matter, you still have that look on your face?"
"Well you knew I wanted to go do ^^^, but it doesn't matter, I'll do *** now instead."
~proceeds to try and power up the window while I'm still leaning in the window~
"Well, crap- Sorry, stop then, I'll take care of it, why didn't you just say something?"
"It doesn't matter now anyway *** is in the car. Don't worry about it, it doesn't matter."
WTF!!?!??! I'm sure many of you have also had this conversation. Why the hell won't they just say two words and the whole thing wouldn't have even happened? I asked half a dozen times, gave every opportunity to remind me, and yet no. Is it the desire to make others around them miserable? At times like this, I really don't think I even want to talk to her till I come home for Christmas. They want to make you feel bad. Then, they get upset when you throw it back on them. I just can't win.
